The Frederick C. Smith Legacy Society
The Legacy Society was named after Mr. Smith because of his philanthropic leadership, his creative use of the Foundation over the years and for his tireless work on behalf of the community. To become a Legacy Society member, we simply ask for a statement of establishment or intent to leave a gift to the Foundation through a bequest, charitable trust, life insurance or other planned gift. Your membership can be anonymous, if desired. During 2004-2005, 36 new legacies, representing $20.4 million in new commitments, were added to the Foundation's documented legacies, making a total of $212.7 million in future gifts, as of June 30, 2005.
For more information about charitable estate planning or deferred and planned giving options, please contact one of our senior development officers, Jan Clark or Beth Schaeffer at (937) 222-0410.
