More than 200 individuals gathered in the Kettering Tower lobby on Thursday, February 24, 2005, as The Dayton Foundation hosted a special reception for Foundation donors, including The Frederick C. Smith Legacy Society.

Judy McCormick, then chair of The Dayton Foundation Governing Board, and Mike Parks, Foundation president, welcomed guests and introduced four very special donors, Edythe Lewis, Alice and Burt Saidel, and Irv Bieser, who shared how they are making a difference in our community through their Dayton Foundation funds.

Guests enjoyed good food, visiting with friends, the jazz melodies of The Eddie Brookshire Trio and a new sculptural exhibit, "Together We Can Help Change the World... Right Here at Home," by the artists of K12 Gallery for Young People.

The Dayton Foundation's Biennial Meeting Celebration was truly a celebraton!

Six hundred donors and other friends of The Dayton Foundation gathered at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center in mid-November. Robert S. Neff, then chair of The Dayton Foundation's Governing Board, and Steven C. Mason, chairman of Second and Main Limited, welcomed guests to the special event and to the Schuster Center.

Guests heard President Michael M. Parks give the Report of The Dayton Foundation and tell how the Foundation's family is sharing a dream for the future of our community. Dazzling performances by local arts groups Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, The Muse Machine and Rhythm in Shoes, rounded out the program in the Schuster Center's Mead Theatre.

It was an event to remember!
