Helping Hurricane Survivors To Recover and Rebuild Their Lives
As a service to our donors and other charitable-minded individuals, The Dayton Foundation is providing the following links for more information on how to contribute to the organizations that are helping the survivors of 2005 U.S. hurricanes to recover and rebuild their lives. If you are a Dayton Foundation donor and use Donor Express, the Foundation's secure, online fund access system, you may direct grants to the organizations listed below. Please specify in the "Grant Purpose" section on the "Grant Recommendation" screen of Donor Express that your contribution is to be made for the organization's appropriate relief effort. Other charitable individuals can make contributions directly to the charities through their web sites as noted below: American Red Cross-Dayton Area Chapter (www.dayton.oh.redcross.org). Salvation Army (www.salvationarmyusa.org) The Greater New Orleans Foundation (www.gnof.org) has set up the following fund: Rebuild New Orleans Fund is designated for the relief, recovery and betterment of the New Orleans community, including the rebuilding of the infrastructure to provide basic human services to residents of the devastated areas. Donations to the Rebuild New Orleans Fund can be made online at www.foundationsforrecover.org. More information also is available at The Greater New Orleans Foundation web site at www.gnof.org.
