Jan A. Clark came to The Dayton Foundation in 2002 from the Dayton Office of UAW Legal Services Plan, where she served as managing attorney and provided legal services to clients with an emphasis on estate planning, probate and real estate. She has managed both Cincinnati and Dayton offices of the UAW Legal Services during the past 19 years. She also has worked as an attorney in private practice, specializing in small businesses and partnerships, and recently served as chair of the Probate and Estate-Planning section of the Dayton Bar Association.

Jan earned her J.D. degree from the University of Toledo College of Law and her M.A.T. degree, Clinical Legal Education, from Antioch Law School in Washington D.C.
