The Dayton Foundation Names New Chair to its Governing Board

James R. Pancoast The Dayton Foundation has named a new chair to its Governing Board, which provides stewardship for the Foundation and its charitable activities. James R. Pancoast, retired president and CEO of Premier Health will serve an 18-month term.

A Governing Board member since 2011, Pancoast has chaired the Foundation’s Finance Committee and most recently served as Board vice chair and a member of the Executive Committee and Grants Committee.

Pancoast’s strong commitment to doing good for the region is evident in his many community activities, as well as in his involvement with The Dayton Foundation. He has served on the boards of The American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board, Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, Dayton Art Institute, and Montgomery County Human Services Levy Council.
