Brett Hart embarked on a new chapter in January 2024 when he joined The Dayton Foundation as a Del Mar Encore Fellow, contributing his wealth of experience to developing services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries under the Brain Health Initiative.

With a distinguished corporate career of over 35 years, Brett's professional journey has been marked by a commitment to servant leadership. His diverse background includes ventures in animal nutrition, information technology, retail entrepreneurship, ERP implementations and the consumer-packaged goods industries, where he made impactful contributions to chocolate and fresh vegetables.

Brett deeply engages in philanthropy and community service. He supports the Greater Dayton YMCA, showcasing his dedication to fostering a healthier, more vibrant community. He also is a part-time lifeguard, emphasizing his commitment to the well-being and safety of others.

A passion for sailing has been a constant thread throughout Brett's life, evolving into a significant focus. From navigating Lake Michigan's waters to the South Carolina Intracoastal Waterway, Brett's sailing adventures have shaped his character and perspective. During the summer, he takes on the role of a sailing instructor, sharing his expertise and enthusiasm for the sport. Brett further indulges his love for sailing by participating in weekend regattas, combining his adventurous spirit with a keen sense of competition.
