Caesar’s Ford Theatre is dedicated to working with members of today’s communities to lift the standard of historical accuracy to new heights. Funds will be used to help CFT create a film to reform the problematic theatrical representation of American-Indian history that was prevalent in the later part of the 20th century. This project includes the writing, filming, post-production and distribution of a series of original scripts, and will feature American-Indian storytelling through the casting of tribal citizens, helping to bring to light how the Shawnee lived, spoke and interacted with others.
