Mary Lynn Dorow Performing Arts Scholarship
This fund was established in 2021 to honor Mary Lynn Dorow who was a six-year survivor of ovarian cancer. Mary Lynn was known for her positive attitude, perseverance, will, fight, strength, teamwork, courage and a big smile! As a coach of a dance team of 65 to 75 young ladies, Mary Lynn instilled in these young women the opportunity to look for the strength in themselves and each other and find positive attributes among all members in a large teamwork environment. This scholarship will provide tuition assistance to one female who has participated in a theatre or dance group or club. A positive attitude is key to overcoming any adversity, and Mary Lynn exemplified this with the people she taught, as well as her family and friends. Her motto was "God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers," and she was one strong soldier.
