As the heart of downtown Dayton, Courthouse Square has both the responsibility and the opportunity to be a place of civic pride, while creating a cultural pulse for the community. Courthouse Square is currently an antiquated and underutilized space, having been originally conceived, designed and developed in the 1970s. In the post-COVID era, Dayton, like many other cities across America, is left with a central business district that is no longer bustling with daily office workers. Because the solution to revitalizing Dayton’s downtown is multi-faceted and requires considerable expertise and innovation, funds will be used to help the Downtown Dayton Partnership develop the Courthouse Square Transformation Project Plan.
