African-American Community Foundation - Robert S. Early, Sr. Memorial Youth Scholarship
The Robert S. Early Memorial Youth Scholarship was established in 2017 and is sponsored by the Roosevelt High School Class of 1968. Robert was Roosevelt's class vice-president and graduated fifth in the class, He was in Spanish Club, the school newspaper and was a four-year letterman in baseball. Robert graduated from Wright State University. An avid golfer, he was also the manager of human resources at Delphi Kettering. Robert always had a can-do attitude about everything.
Applicants must:
- be an African-American resident of Dayton, Ohio,
- be a graduating senior from a high school in Montgomery County,
- have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale,
- be accepted and planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university, community college or vocational program, and
- be a participant on a golf, baseball or softball team.
Preference may be given to graduates of Dayton Public Schools.
