Kettering Education Foundation - Susan Fanelli Scholarship

Sue (Reinicke) Fanelli was raised in Kettering and attended elementary and high school in Kettering. She graduated from Fairmont West High School in 1966. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Bowling Green State University and returned to Kettering to teach elementary education (kindergarten and first grade). She retired from teaching after more than 30 years. She then became a substitute teacher for another 10-plus years. So in all, Sue spent over half a century attending and teaching in the Kettering City School District. She loved teaching and her students. It seems that she can't go anywhere and not run into a former student or parent. This scholarship is in honor of her dedication to teaching and helping others succeed.

Applicant's must:

• be a graduating senior from Kettering Fairmont High School or a current college student who graduated from Kettering Fairmont High School,
• be accepted to or currently attending an accredited two-or four-year college or university, and
• plan to major in Education.

Financial need will be considered if all else is equal.
