The Ohio History Connection's mission is to spark discovery of Ohio's stories. The National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center opened in 1988 and is a division of OHC. The NAAMCC collection, which consists of more than 10,000 items and exhibits, has been featured in national and international exhibitions, books and publications. Funds will be used to provide free history education programming for Dayton-area schools, many of which may not be able to cover costs associated with field trips. The objective is to educate local youth through engaging educational programs that focus on Black History.
