Community Impact –
Partners for the Environment

The Partners’ purpose is to convene groups, coordinate communications for information resource and public education purposes, and develop joint grant proposals to further regional conservation.

A component fund of The Dayton Foundation since 2009, Partners for the Environment is an alliance of environmental organizations, government and civic organizations, and public and private educational institutions. These organizations share a common goal of protecting, restoring, preserving and promoting the environmental and agricultural resources of the Great Miami River and Little Miami River watersheds in an 18-county region of southwest Ohio. Each year, Partners for the Environment hosts an annual environmental leaders cohort to develop the next generation of environmental professionals through mentoring and leadership development.

The Mathile Family Foundation is pleased to partner with The Dayton Foundation to ensure all nonprofit leaders have access to high-quality, capacity-building resources. We believe the entire Dayton Region benefits when we have a strong network of nonprofit organizations meeting the community’s greatest needs.
