StoryChain connects incarcerated individuals with their children through community outreach, literacy intervention and audio technology. Funds will be used to launch a new literacy program that allows children of incarcerated parents to record stories in return – mirroring the successful model long used with incarcerated mothers and fathers. In partnership with Montgomery County libraries and literacy centers, the program will offer children and teens the opportunity to build reading skills, confidence and connection to their families.
