DAYTON-MONTGOMERY COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Helping Dayton-area Students Get to College
The Dayton-Montgomery County Scholarship Program (DMCSP) was founded in 1981 to serve the needs of achieving students who required financial assistance in order to attend the college of their choice. DMCSP has expanded from its initial service to students in the Dayton City Schools to include 23 participating school districts in Montgomery County. In all, 29 high schools currently participate in the Program, and Montgomery County students who have received their GED during the current academic year also are eligible.
A fund of The Dayton Foundation since 2006, the DMCSP has awarded a total of $18.1 million in scholarships since inception to nearly 18,000 graduating seniors or students who have received their GED equivalent. For the 2017-2018 award year, DMCSP granted over $632,000 in scholarships and helped 818 students turn their dreams of attending college into reality.
