Since 1921, The Dayton Foundation has been helping donors and organizations help others and our community through endowed funds that preserve our donors’ charitable purposes, today and after their lifetimes.

YMCA Endowment Foundation for Scholarships – 2006 enables children, families and individuals, who don't have the financial means, to participate in YMCA of Greater Dayton activities.

YMCA of Greater Dayton Aquatics Programs – 2017 enhances the offerings of the YMCA of Greater Dayton by generating income to benefit the organization’s aquatic programs.

YMCA of Greater Dayton Childcare Fund – 2011 enhances YMCA of Greater Dayton's child care programs by funding compensation of high-quality educators to help develop the reading skills of preschool and school-aged children and ensure all students third grade and below are reading at or above grade level.

YMCA of Greater Dayton, Downtown Branch Permanent Endowment Fund – 2005 will help provide unrestricted operating funds for the Downtown YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.

YMCA of Greater Dayton Endowment Fund – 1997 furthers YMCA activities and programs by generating revenue to benefit the YMCA and its various Greater Dayton branches.

YMCA of Greater Dayton Urban Youth Fund – 2012 helps youth, who live in Greater Dayton's core urban areas and demonstrate financial need, to participate in YMCA programs.

Yokley-Gamblin Family Foundation and Scholarship Funds – support the charitable causes of the Yokley-Gamblin family, including supporting Montgomery County, Ohio, African-American students who are interested in continuing their educational pursuits. The Yokley and Gamblin families believe in the importance of education and providing opportunities to well-rounded students who are active in their school, church or community

Allen York Masonry Scholarship – 2019 honors Allen York, a Northridge High School graduate and skilled tradesman, by providing scholarships for students to further their masonry studies for a skilled trade. 

John and Becky York Family Charitable Foundation Fund – 1998 gives the Yorks a convenient and tax-wise way to give back to the community and to teach their children the meaning and importance of philanthropy. John York is a retired first vice president with Merrill Lynch.

Cheryl A. Young Scholarship – 2021 honors the memory of this devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. The fund was established to honor Cheryl’s generous spirit by helping select Dayton Public Schools graduates or Sinclair Community College students further their education with scholarship assistance.

Rosamond M. Young Memorial Scholarship – 2006 encourages donations to memorialize Rosamond M. Young, author and longtime columnist for the Dayton Daily News. The fund serves to carry on her legacy by awarding scholarships to Montgomery County students pursuing a teaching degree in English.

Youngquist Family Fund – 2015 supports nonprofit organizations of the donors’ choosing.

The YWCA of Dayton Endowment Fund – 2003 will enhance the programs and operations of the Young Women's Christian Association of Dayton, which has been serving the needs of women, children and families in the Miami Valley since 1870.
